What are you Thankful for? This is a question I find hard to answer – because there is so much to be thankful for! Naturally I am thankful for my friends and family. So I’ve stepped up to the challenge and made a list of people and things I’m thankful for that fall outside the typical realm.
These are people and things I believe deserve special recognition. Not to exclude anyone I cherish (you know who you are and if you’re questioning it, reach out to me). I wish I could include you all, but let’s face it, no one would read all that!
Joan Koerber-Walker – My mentor, friend and pseudo-mom. You’ve helped me through both personal and business challenges and have always supported me even when I was on the wrong path. You’ve allowed me to discover the truth through my own mistakes and help me carry on when the lesson was learned. Thank you for all the opportunities you’ve brought to the table. I look forward to many more year together!
Ken Scheer and Dave Bernstein - The brotri and confidants. We’ve seen quite a lot together this year. Thank you for being there during my personal challenges and your friendship throughout this year. Let’s continue to make a splash in everything we do!
Mimi Ortega – the passion. I feel very fortunate to have met you and in the short time I’ve known you I’ve felt welcomed and loved. You have brought something special to the table and I look forward to growing closer to you. You have great passion and deserve the best success in your endeavors!
Cheryl Marquez – the instigator and the push. You have an amazing tenacity for life, travel and business. In many ways I envy you and I admire all that you’ve achieved. Thank you for pushing me to follow my dreams in a more refined fashion.
Taste - The flavor of life! Thank you for allowing me to indulge in the all the world has to offer in the culinary world. I wrap beer and food into this “thing” because they are a piece of what makes life worth living.
New York – my next challenge. I hope you’re ready for all that I will be bringing to your city. I look forward to all the opportunities you have in your buildings and street corners. Not to mention the food!
Health – an ongoing challenge. Sorry I neglected you a bit this year. But I’m glad you didn’t give up on me. Thank you for springing back quickly and giving me the chance to continue being healthy.
Technology – the cherry on top. You’ve changed so much of the last year, but I never disliked your progress. Thank you for keep life fresh and keeping me connected to the people in my life. Looking forward to what our future has in store!
These are the few that have brought something special to my life this year.
